New Converts

Hello GACC Personal Evangelist,

To ensure that all new converts are indoctrinated into the church at Greenville Ave, we are asking all teachers who have taught individuals who obeyed the Gospel to assist the church in making sure that the new convert has attended orientation and introduced to the new convert class on Sunday morning and Wednesday night. Teaching a person the Plan of Salvation is not enough for their spiritual growth. We need to ensure that the new convert has the opportunity to establish relationships with other members of the body. This measure will help the Leadership to embrace these brothers and sisters to build a strong foundation as they continue to grow and develop in their Christian walk.

Once they have been baptized, I recommend that you guide and direct them to a pathway of righteousness. Leading a person to water is not enough and no contingency plan to ensure the new convert has been given a strong foundational study. Once you have taken a person through the OBS and they obeyed the Gospel, the teacher should continue teaching the new convert. If you have taught a person just using the Plan of Salvation, again, that’s not enough. As the teacher who taught the person, it is your responsibility to strive to assist that person in becoming a disciple who will go and make disciples as well. There is a supplemental study entitled The New Christian. This lesson will ensure that the new convert has a lifeline and has someone who will continue to be by his/her side, thus eliminating the possibility of FALLING AWAY. If you would like a copy of this lesson, please let me know and I will provide a copy for you and the new convert.

Finally, we want to save lost souls but on the other hand, we want to provide a foundation that will keep them saved. Let’s utilize the four G’s Gaining, Grounding, Growing, and Glorifying God.

Thank you all so much for your perseverance and tenacity in this great work.

Brother Jones, Ministry Leader
